Alyssa - You can use water or almond milk or a combination of both! The almond milk will give the oatmeal a thicker consistency and a different flavor than if you just used water. It's all about what you like. Try it out and see which version you like best. It's always a good idea to keep trying new things - have fun with your food! Do you have a rice cooker? I know it's an unconventional way to make oatmeal, but if you use your rice cooker you can flip the switch before you hop in the shower and the oatmeal will be ready by the time you leave the house.

I do the same as Erica by making my quinoa in bulk- I eat it as a side dish, over salad, or for lunch. I love those new ways to make it though- I have yet to try it for breakfast. And your oatmeal look delish- just ran out and picked some up. Going to try to wake up a little earlier tomorrow but it may have to be for the weekend! Would you use the almond milk instead of the water for the oatmeal and the quinoa?!?!

Hi Sherri. What don't you like about the consistency of oatmeal? Is it too runny or too heavy?

I have tried eating oatmeal many times but can't seem to find a liking for it. I struggle with the consistency of it. I love oatmeal cookies and other oat baked goods, such as breads and muffins. Do you have any suggestions?
